MP3 players like the Rio are
selling like hot cakes these days. One
reason, you can get the song from the
internet for free, instead of paying $15
for a CD. Two, it doesn't skip. Three,
you can put all your favourite songs into
the player, instead of changing discs or
cassettes to listen to your favourite
song.
If you remember back when I was
running the Sega World site, I did a
little article on a VMU and MP3 players
put together. Well, it seems it was
actually true, not just another rumor.
Sega of Japan announced the VMU MP3
player, it will have a headphone jack,
and can be taken out anywhere. At the
same time, having the capabilities to
save game files. The new VMU MP3 player
is supposedly to come with the LCD
screen, and a larger room for saving
files.
Wondering how your going to
download the files through the Dreamcast?
Well, the Dream Passport 3 which was
released in Japan came with a MP3 player.
Its rumored that the next version of the
Dream Passport will come capable with the
VMU MP3 player. Its rumored that Sega will
show the final product, pricing, and
release date at this year's E3 at Los
Angeles.
